What is Environment Map?

An environment map is a 3D model of the surrounding environment that can be used for 3D visualization. It allows you to see objects in their surroundings, as well as how they interact with each other. Environment maps can be used for both interior and exterior scenes.

Environment maps are created by “rendering” or “baking” the scene from the point of view of an object. This process creates an image that can be used as a texture map on the object’s surface. The benefit of using an environment map is that it gives you a realistic representation of your scene without having to render the entire scene every time you want to make a change.
