What is Bitmap?

Bitmap is a term used in 3D visualization to describe the resolution of an image. The bitmap stores the color information for each pixel in an image. The higher the bitmap, the more detailed the image will be. In 3D visualization, it is important to use high-resolution images to create realistic models. Bitmap resolutions can range from 1 bit (black and white) to 24 bits (full color). Most images used for 3D modeling are 8 bits or 16 bits.
