What is NURBS?
NURBS, or Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines, is a type of mathematical model used to create smooth curves and surfaces. In 3D visualization, NURBS is often used to create organic shapes and realistic animations.
NURBS curves are defined by control points, which act as anchors that determine the shape of the curve. The curve passes through all of the control points, and the positions of the points determine how sharp or round the curve will be.
NURBS surfaces are similar to NURBS curves, but they have two dimensions instead of one. This allows for more complex shapes to be created, such as spheres, cylinders, and cones.
