What is 3D Scanner?

A 3D scanner is a device that captures the shape of an object by projecting a series of lasers onto it. The lasers are reflected off the object and back to the scanner, where they are interpreted by software to create a three-dimensional digital representation of the object. This digital representation can then be used in 3D visualization software to create models or images of the object. 3D scanners are often used in manufacturing and design processes to create digital models of objects for prototyping or product development.
