What is B-Spline?

B-Spline is a mathematical term used to describe a curve or surface. In 3D visualization, B-Splines are often used to create smooth surfaces and shapes. They can be controlled very precisely, making them ideal for creating intricate designs.

There are many different ways to create B-Splines. Some software programs allow you to draw the curves and surfaces by hand, while others use algorithms to generate them automatically. No matter how they are created, B-Splines always consist of a series of points called control vertices (or CV’s). These points determine the shape of the curve or surface and can be adjusted to change its appearance.
